Can't help but think that these plants should be co-located and partially owned by plastic producers. Setting up partnerships like these have the potential to result in higher levels of producer responsibility, speeding up the alignment of the value chain, creating jobs, and lowering the costs as well as the overall footprints of feedstocks/raw materials.

Higher level of producer responsibility must be enforced by respective governments.While we encourage entrepreneurship,we must also curb desire for making profits at the cost of the society and global community and environment at large.In India the government and the manufacturers are hand in glove in making it nobodys responsibility to collect the used plastics.The industry simply refuses to do anything concrete and the government(politicians/bureaucracy) conveniently close their eyes.
Hope international pressure is built to make the resin manufacturers responsible for the pollution mess.
