Royal NIOZ, the Netherlands Institute for Sea Research, is part of NWO-I, the Institutes Organisation of NWO, since 2016 in cooperation with Utrecht University.

The crew of the Race for Water Odyssey collected a set of data during its passage across the South-East Pacific for Dr. Linda Amaral Zettler and Dr. Erik Zettler, both researchers at the NIOZ, which are supporting the “Plastisphere” project. For more information on this mission click here.
