- The smallest biggest plastic pollution event in the World (02/09/2016)
- Closing the Plastic Tap with IUCN (04/09/2016) / see Carl Gustaf Lundin, Director, Global Marine and Polar programme IUCN, presentation document in attachment.

It was really great seeing marine litter and plastics getting so much attention at the Oceans & Islands Pavilion. Many people attended the sessions. Additionally there were two workshops scheduled- one was canceled but participants held the session anyway and there was a constructive conversation of problems and solutions from all around the room and the world. If anyone would like more information about the sessions, full descriptions are posted on the IUCN WCC Portal online at https://portals.iucn.org/congress/sessions as well as contacts for each session.
