Mar sem Lixo Mar da Gente. A global platform for marine litter solutions. swissnex Brazil

The "Mar sem Lixo Mar da Gente" ("Sea without trash, Our sea") campaign was organized by swissnex Brazil during the Race for Water Odyssey stopover in Rio de Janeiro.

Several activities and events have been realized during this campaign thanks to swissnex Brazil team from October 23 until November 27: Cradle to Cradle Design Workshop, Semana do Design Rio, Exhibition at Espaço Cultural CRR Barcas (Centro), Stand-Up Paddle Race and SUP Trash Content (Praia de Itaipú, Niteroi), Roundtable with Amyr Klink (FLUPP), Meeting with young sailors of Grael Project (Guanabara Bay) and two days conferences.

These last two conferences was a great opportunity to learn more on the plastic pollution context in Brazil and especially for Guanabara Bay, but also to exchange and debate on possible solutions to fight against marine litter worldwide.

1st day- Preserving our Oceans: A Race Against Time (presentations + debates with NGOs, institutes, governors, plastic industries..)

2nd day- Searching for Solutions for a Future without Marine Litter (scientific conference + workshops)
